The Motor Carrier Services Section is responsible for overseeing the collection of funds, audit and compliance for International Registration Plan (IRP), International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA), Unified Carrier Registration (UCR), and Heavy Highway Use Tax Returns; Form 2290. All of our operations are centralized at the Dover DMV location and with access to the Motor Carrier Services System online registration and tax reporting.
Motor Carrier is by appointment only for New Accounts and New vehicles. Please call the office at 302-744-2702 or email DOT.MOTORCARRIER@DELAWARE.GOV to schedule an appointment
IFTA tax returns are required to be filed online or by mail. IRP renewals can be filed online, by email, by FAX or mail
